Song Seven (七下り目 Nana Kudari-me) is one of the Twelve Songs of the Mikagura-uta. It is said to have been composed by Oyasama between the second and eighth lunar months of 1867. There was a time when it was referred as "Chapter Seven" in English.

七下り目
First, A single word can be hinokishin. hitotsu hitokoto hanashi wa hinokishin 一ツ ひとことはなしハひのきしん
I simply sprinkle My fragrance around. nioi bakari o kakete oku にほひばかりをかけておく
Second, As My intention is so profound, futatsu fukai kokoro ga aru nareba 二ツ ふかいこゝろがあるなれバ
No one should prevent it. tare mo tomeru de nai hodo ni たれもとめるでないほどに
Third, There is no one in the world, mittsu mina sekai no kokoro niwa 三ツ みなせかいのこゝろにハ
Whose mind does not desire to own a field. denji no iranu mono wa nai でんぢのいらぬものハない
Fourth, If there is a good field, yottsu yoki ji ga araba ichiretsu ni 四ツ よきぢがあらバ一れつに
Everyone equally will desire to own it. tare mo hoshii de arōgana たれもほしいであらうがな
Fifth, It is the same with everyone, itsutsu izure no kata mo onaji koto 五ツ いづれのかたもおなしこと
I, too, wish to own such a good field. washi mo ano ji o motome tai わしもあのぢをもとめたい
Sixth, I never compel you to do this or that. muttsu muri ni dōse to iwan dena 六ツ むりにどうせといはんでな
That is left to your own heart. soko wa meimei no mune shidai そこはめい/\のむねしだい
Seventh, I wish to get the field by any means, nanatsu nandemo denji ga hoshii kara 七ツ なんでもでんぢがほしいから
No matter what the price may be. atae wa nanihodo iru totemo あたへハなにほどいるとても
Eighth, As this Residence is the field of God, yattsu yashiki wa Kami no denji yade 八ツ やしきハかみのでんぢやで
Every seed sown here will sprout. maitaru tane wa mina haeru まいたるたねハみなはへる
Ninth, Since this is the field of this world, kokonotsu koko wa kono yo no denji nara 九ツ こゝハこのよのでんぢなら
I, too, will sow the seed devotedly. washi mo shikkari tane o mako わしもしつかりたねをまこ
Finally, This time, I am glad to see that all of you equally tōdo kono tabi ichiretsu ni 十ド このたびいちれつに
Have come here to sow the seed; yōkoso tane o maki ni kita ようこそたねをまきにきた
Those who have sown the seed, tane o maitaru sono kata wa たねをまいたるそのかたハ
Shall reap a rich harvest without fertilizing. koe o okazu ni tsukuri tori こえをおかずにつくりとり
