Song Five (五下り目 Itsu Kudari-me) is one of the Twelve Songs of the Mikagura-uta. It is said to have been composed by Oyasama in 1867. There was a time when it was referred as "Chapter Five" in English.

五下り目
First, As this world is so wide, hitotsu hiroi sekai no uchi nareba 一ツ ひろいせかいのうちなれバ
There may be various places to save people. tasukeru tokoro ga mama arō たすけるところがまゝあらう
Second, Miraculous salvation at this place, futatsu fushigi na tasuke wa kono tokoro 二ツ ふしぎなたすけハこのところ
I grant you safe childbirth and freedom from smallpox. obiya hōso no yurushi dasu おびやはうそのゆるしだす
Third, God, the same as water, mittsu mizu to Kami to wa onaji koto 三ツ みづとかみとはおなじこと
Washes away the dirts from your minds. kokoro no yogore o araikiru こゝろのよごれをあらひきる
Fourth, Though there is no one who is free from greed, yottsu yoku no nai mono nakeredomo 四ツ よくのないものなけれども
Before God there is no greed. Kami no mae niwa yoku wa nai かみのまへにハよくはない
Fifth, However long you may continue to believe, itsutsu itsumade shinjin shita totemo 五ツ いつまでしん/゛\したとても
Your life shall ever be filled with joy. yōki zukume de aru hodo ni やうきづくめであるほどに
Sixth, Forgetting away a cruel heart, muttsu mugoi kokoro o uchiwasure 六ツ むごいこゝろをうちわすれ
Come to Me with a gentle heart! yasashiki kokoro ni nari te koi やさしきこゝろになりてこい
Seventh, Assuredly I shall never leave you in suffering, nanatsu nandemo nangi wa sasanu zoe 七ツ なんでもなんぎハさゝぬぞへ
Because this is the place of single-hearted salvation. tasuke ichijo no kono tokoro たすけいちじよのこのところ
Eighth, Not only in Yamato, yattsu Yamato bakari ya nai hodo ni 八ツ やまとばかりやないほどに
I will go also to other countries to save you all. kuniguni made e mo tasuke yuku くに/\までへもたすけゆく
Ninth, This is the Jiba, the origin of this world. kokonotsu koko wa kono yo no Moto no Jiba 九ツ こゝはこのよのもとのぢば
Indeed a remarkable place has been revealed. mezurashi tokoro ga arawareta めづらしところがあらはれた
Since firmly we are determined to believe, dōdemo shinjin suru nara ba どうでも しん/゛\するならバ
Let us form a brotherhood. kō o musubo ya nai kaina かうをむすぼやないかいな

The Otefuri Guide

一ツ ひろい せかいの うち なれバ たすける ところが まゝあらう
HITOTSU Hiroi sekai no uchi nareba Tasukeru tokoro ga mama arō.
1st wide world midst as (it is) to save places there may be various
二ツ ふしぎな たすけハ このところ おびや はうその ゆるし だす
FUTATSU Fushigi na tasuke wa kono tokoro Obiya hōso no yurushi dasu.
2nd miraculous salvation this place childbirth smallpox grant (I) give out
三ツ みづと かみとは おなじこと こゝろの よごれを あらひきる
MITTSU Mizu to Kami to wa onaji koto Kokoro no yogore o araikiru.
3rd water and God the same mind's dirt wash away
四ツ よくの ないもの なけれども かみの まへに ハよく はない
YOTTSU Yoku no nai mono nakere domo Kami no mae ni wa yoku wa nai.
4th greed person free from there is no God before greed there is no
五ツ いつまで しん/゛\ したとても やうきづくめで あるほどに
ITSUTSU Itsu made shinjin shita totemo Yōkizukume de aru hodoni.
5th however long faith may keep filled with joy (your life) is
六ツ むごい こゝろを うちわすれ やさしき こゝろに なりてこい
MUTTSU Mugoi kokoro o uchi wasure Yasashiki kokoro ni narite koi.
6th cruel heart casting away gentle heart come with
七ツ なんでも なんぎハ さゝぬぞへ たすけ いちじよの このところ
NANATSU Nandemo nangi wa sasanu zoe Tasuke ichijo no kono tokoro.
7th assuredly suffering (I) shall not allow salvation single-hearted this place
八ツ やまと ばかりや ないほどに くに/\ までへも たすけゆく
YATTSU Yamato bakariya nai hodoni Kuniguni made mo tasuke yuku.
8th Yamato only not countries also to (I) will go to save
九ツ こゝは このよの もと のぢば めづらし ところが あらはれた
KOKONOTSU Koko wa kono yo no moto no Jiba Mezurashi tokoro ga arawareta.
9th here this world's origin the Jiba remarkable place has been revealed
どうでも しん/゛\ するならバ かうを むすぼや ないかいな
DODEMO Shinjin suru naraba Kō o musubo ya naikaina.
