Ofudesaki 11:069–72 is a set of verses from the Ofudesaki. The English translation below is the sixth edition translation.

Content

The very beginning of this world was at Shoyashiki Village kono yō no hajimari-dashi wa Yamato nite このよふの はじまりたしハ やまとにて
of Yamabe County in Yamato Province. Yamabe-gōri no Shoyashiki nari やまべこふりの しよやしきなり
There, at the place known as the Nakayama Residence, sono uchi ni Nakayama-uji to yū yashiki そのうちに なかやまうぢと ゆうやしき
appear instruments of human beginnings. ningen hajime dōgu mieru de にんけんはじめ どふくみへるで
These instruments are Izanagi, Izanami, kono dōgu Izanagiī to Izanami to このどふぐ いざなぎいゝと いざなみと
Kunisazuchi, and Tsukiyomi. Kunisazuchī to Tsukiyomi to nari くにさづちいと 月よみとなり
Discerning this, Tsukihi descended Tsukihi yori sore o misumashi amakudari 月日より それをみすまし あまくたり
and began preparations to train them in all matters. nanika yorozu o shikomu moyō o なにかよろづを しこむもよふを

Third Edition

This world was first created at Shoyashiki Village, Yamabe County in Yamato Province.

There is a Residence called the Nakayamas. There appear those who were the instruments in the creation of human beings.

These instruments are Izanagi, Izanami, Kunisazuchi and Tsukiyomi.

Making sure of it, I, Tsukihi, descended from Heaven, and began arrangements to train them in any and everything.

Human beings were first conceived at the Residence of Shoyashiki Village, in Yamabe District of Yamato Province.

In that Village is the Nakayama Residence. Found there are the instruments used in the creation of humanity.

These instruments have the souls of Izanagi and Izanami, Kunisazuchi and Tsukiyomi.

After having discerned them, I, Tsuki-Hi, descended here to begin preparations to instruct them in all things.

11:69–72 The beginning of this world occurred in Yamato, in Shoyashiki Village, Yamabe County. I see in the residence of the Nakayama household individuals who possess the essence of the instruments at human creation. These instruments are Izanagi-no-Mikoto, Izanami-no-Mikoto, Kunisazuchi-no-Mikoto, and Tsukiyomi-no-Mikoto. I, Oyagami, discerned these individuals, descended on Jiba at the arrival of the Promised Time, received Oyasama as the Shrine of Tsukihi and made arrangements to teach everyone of the truth of single-hearted salvation.

*Note: Oyasama went through indescribable hardships to begin this path. Her husband Zenbei and the entire family also bore much extraordinary suffering as they cooperated with Oyasama to establish the teachings of single-hearted salvation. Also, Shuji looked after the household finances through years of poverty and devoted much effort and undertook a variety of means for the path to stand on its own in the face of oppression and ridicule from the general public. Kokan comforted her mother and encouraged her elder brother, helping maintain peace and harmony in the home, going through tough times like no other for the sake of the path.
In actuality, Oyasama, Zenbei, Shuji, and Kokan were each physical manifestations of the instruments during human creation. Here we can observe the depth of Oyagami’s profound forethought. Refer to note for 6:29–51.

六九―七二、この世の初まり出しは大和であって、その中の山辺郡庄屋敷村である。その庄屋敷村の中山氏という屋敷に人間創造の道具の理を体した者が見える。この道具とは、いざなぎのみこと、いざなみのみこと、くにさづちのみこと、月よみのみことである。親神はこれを見澄まし旬刻限と共に元なるぢばに天降り、おやさまを月日のやしろとしてたすけ一条の真実を、何も彼も皆仕込む段取りに取り掛かって来た。

註 おやさまは、このお道をお創め下さるに就て、言うに言えぬ産みの苦しみをおなめ下され、夫善兵衞様また一家を捧げておやさまのたすけ一条の教を創始に協力するという、並々ならぬ御心労をお通り下された。又、秀司先生は、貧困の中に家計を支え、又、世間の迫害嘲笑にに対しては、百方手段を尽して道の立つように努力せられ、こかん様、母を慰め兄を励まし、よく一家の和楽を保って、お道のため一方ならぬ辛酸をなめて下された。
これ実に、それぞれ人間創造のご守護の理の一つ一つを身に体しておられたからであって、ここに親神様の深い深い神慮の程を拝察することが出来る。第六号二九―五一註参照。
