Until now, since I kept Myself behind a bamboo screen, | ima made wa misu no uchira ni itaru kara | いまゝでハ みすのうぢらにいたるから |

This time, as I have come out into brightness, | kono tabi wa akai tokoro i detaru kara | このたびハ あかいところい でたるから |

The phrase “I kept Myself behind a bamboo screen” in the next verse refers, according to Ofudesaki chushaku, to the fact that Oyasama was dressed in a black montsuki or crested formal garment. Oyasama has not manifestly demonstrated that She is the Shrine of Tsukihi. So nothing has been visibly clear. Nothing has presented itself.

At this time, Oyasama has come out into brightness. So everything, whatever it may be, will be visible or present itself. The term “brightness” refers to both the fact that Oyasama answered a summons from the Nara Prefectural Office to appear at the Yamamura Palace and the fact that shortly afterward She began to wear red clothes.
