From Michi no dai: Foundation of the Path 35:65–6
The word “joyousness” in verse 6 is a translation of the Japanese expression “yokizukume,” in which “zukume” implies “anything and everything.” The verse is saying that anything and everything will settle into total joy.
Verse 6 is telling people to be aware that in order to clearly distinguish between “fire and water”–the two fundamental aspects of God's providence, which are now in a chaotic state–the Joyous Service is to be performed “at this place,” referring to Jiba. This verse is saying that, through the performance of the Joyous Service at Jiba, the world is to be restored from a chaotic state to the way it should be–which refers to the state of the world that is filled with joy. The Ofudesaki is here reaffirming the importance of the Service.
