Commentary by Yoshitaro Ueda (2008)
From Michi no dai: Foundation of the Path 32:40
1:35 The “wrongdoing” will “stand in the way of the construction” unless it is completely removed. The “construction” refers to the construction of a new world; this is spiritual construction. The Ofudesaki uses the metaphor of construction to refer to the reconstruction of the world as the world of the Joyous Life. The “wrongdoing” is obstructing that construction.
