Ofudesaki 16:003–4 is a set of verses from the Ofudesaki. The English translation below is the sixth edition translation.

Content

The origin is represented by the two members of the Kagura. kono moto wa Kagura ryōnin Tsutome wa na このもとハ かぐらりよにん つとめハな
Truly, this Service is the beginning of this world. kore ga shinjitsu kono yo hajimari これがしんぢつ このよはしまり
What is called the Kagura this time kono tabi no Kagura to yū wa ningen o このたひの かぐらというハ にんけんを
is the Parent who began human beings. hajime kaketaru Oya de aru zo ya はじめかけたる をやであるぞや

This origin is represented by the two performers of the Kagura. Truly this is the beginning of this world.

16:3, 4 The two performers of the Kagura representing Tsukihi (the Moon and the Sun) represent Me, the original God and Parent of human creation.

*Note: These verses are declaring that the two dancers who wear the Kagura masks in the Kagura Service represent the providence of Tsukihi or God of Origin, Tenri-O-no-Mikoto.

 かぐらづとめに於いて、かぐら面を冠ぶった両名によって、その理をおあらわししている月日両神こそ、元の神天理王命様である事を仰せられている。
