Commentary by Yoshitaro Ueda (2010)
From Michi no dai: Foundation of the Path 38:44
In the original, the way in which the verse is constructed is somewhat complicated. With regard to the verbs “make...known” (“shirashi”) and “save” (“tasuke”), their respective objects (“shinjitsu” [”the truth”] and “kono yo” [“this world”]) are not where they are grammatically expected.
The verse is saying, “Since I desire to save all human beings in the world, I shall begin to tell everyone the truth.” This expresses God’s desire to save all people by letting them know the truth.
