From Michi no dai: Foundation of the Path 35:61

The word “follow” is a translation of the Japanese phrase “shitoi iku,” which means to follow something with adoration. The verse says that, if people closely follow this narrow path step by step, the main path will “surely,” or certainly, be seen ahead.
