5:64 Why do you not swiftly ponder what My intention is and take the steps to gain insight into the fundamental truth behind it? Now immediately take the steps to do so.

六四、速やかに、親神の意のある処を思案して、その根本を悟る段取りを何故して来ないか。さあ直ぐにもその段取りに取り掛かれ。

Commentary by Yoshitaro Ueda (2009)

From Michi no dai: Foundation of the Path 35:59

A while ago, we came across the term “root,” which was contrasted with “branches.” It refers to the foundation or the origin. God urges us to be quick in setting about pondering and “then hasten.” What is it that God wants us to hasten? The answer is the preparations to inquire fully into the foundation or the depths of origin–which is to say, the preparations to uncover and thoroughly understand the origin. Verse 64 has a strong tone in asking why we are not preparing to achieve this.
