5:52 As for these returns of mine: I shall immediately give you a return after accepting your words or thoughts, no matter how minor they may be.

『おふでさき註釈』、p. 79

五二、この親神のかやしという事は、たとい口で言い心に思うた些細なものであっても、その言葉その心を親神が受取り次第、直ぐにかやしをするのである。

Commentary by Yoshitaro Ueda (2009)

From Michi no dai: Foundation of the Path 35:56

The Ofudesaki goes on to explain in more detail the nature of returns given according to the state of mind. No matter what we say or think, our words and thoughts will reach God exactly as they are. God will immediately give returns according to the state of mind received by God. Such are the workings of God, says the verse. There may be a sense that we live in a rather controlled environment. We may feel somewhat uptight about what thoughts should be going through our heads. The point, however, is that the divine truth permeates all aspects of life. It ill behooves us to use careless words or entertain irresponsible thoughts; there should be moderation.
