From Michi no dai: Foundation of the Path 34:60
The phrase “this path” refers to the aforementioned “path of salvation for the entire world.” When this path of salvation, which uses the Service as the key component, “is clearly seen”–which is to say, becomes clearly manifested or established–then “the root of illness” will be cut off entirely. The word “root” refers to the very origin or fundamental source of illness. The verse does not merely speak of illness being cured. It addresses the total transformation of people’s state of mind, which is the cause of illness. The verse says that the root cause of illness will be eliminated. The salvation given through the Service is not merely about curing illness; it includes addressing what causes illness.
