Commentary

Commentary by Yoshitaro Ueda (2009)

From Michi no dai: Foundation of the Path 34:59

God will teach all “things yet unseen”–things that are unknown to learning–step by step. In the original of this verse, the phrase “dandan to,” which is here translated as “step by step,” does seem to mean “gradually” or “step by step.” From now on, God will teach “any and all things yet unseen”–all of those things that are yet unknown–step by step. At the heart of the “things yet unseen” is the story of the truth of origin.
