This verse tells people to beware of overconfidence in “learning,” which I suppose could be considered an example of the teachings for “weeding and fertilizing.” I think that the phrase “things yet unseen” has a twofold meaning. It refers both to things that have yet to happen and to things that are yet unknown. Both the things that have yet to occur and the things of which people are yet unaware, such as the beginnings of origin, are totally unknown to what is called learning.
