4:83 To My all children who lean and follow Oyagami as you yearn for your biological parents, quickly take the steps to come out onto the bright path!

八三、肉身の親を慕うように、親神にもたれてついて来る一列の子供よ、早く明るい道に出るよう段取りをせよ。

Commentary by Yoshitaro Ueda (2009)

From Michi no dai: Foundation of the Path 34:57–8

The expression “go out into the open” occurs in both these verses. The phrase “All of you children who lean on God” refers to those who follow the path. Related to the expression “go out into the open” are the following phrases we have already encountered: “I wait impatiently for My children to awaken to the truth” in verse 65 and “bring My children out into the open” in verse 66. This suggests that the expression in question does not simply mean going from inside to outside but refers to understanding the Parent’s intention, growing spiritually, and performing work that will contribute to fulfilling the Parent’s intention. Such is the meaning of this expression. Verses 83 and 84 can thus be paraphrased as follows: “I ask all of you who are following the path to quickly understand the Parent’s intention and make preparations and arrangements to allow you to work toward fulfilling that intention. If you are to come to the fore to carry out such work, you should ‘calm your mind’–or quiet and settle your mind–and seek ‘the core,’ referring to the heart or essence of the teachings.”
