Commentary
Commentary by Yoshitaro Ueda (2008)
From Michi no Dai: Foundation of the Path 33:60–1
The verse contains the word “guidance.” Things like an ailment of the eyes, swellings, dizziness, and pain indicate that God is guiding us by the hand. When we seem to be putting ourselves in harm’s way, God will grab our hand and guide us to safety. God alerts our attention in various ways, such as tending, road signs, admonitions, and guidance.
