Commentary by Yoshitaro Ueda (2008)

From Michi no Dai: Foundation of the Path 33:58

God needs, not just a few, but a large number of Yoboku. In the original, the two words that are here rendered as “timbers” are “yoboku” and “yoki,” but the latter also means Yoboku. Another variant, found elsewhere, is “yogi.” Exactly how to pronounce tricky words such as these can be resolved, as I said before, by referring to the official romanized version of the Ofudesaki. At any rate, verse 130 says that God desires a great number of Yoboku, who are to serve as timber for building a new world.
