Ofudesaki chushaku

3:121, 122 The people in high positions are behaving as they please, thinking that all things in the world can be accomplished through human strength. This is because they do not know My true intention. This is an extremely regretful situation in My eyes, for I made the world and human beings from where these did not exist. As long as I am revealed, I shall have people realize My true intention from now on and make it so that they cannot behave in a selfish manner that comes about from their human minds.

『おふでさき註釈』、p. 49

一二一、一二二、あらゆる世の中のことは、皆人間の力で出来ように思うて、上にある者の中には自ままに振舞う者もあるが、これは、この世を創造した親神の真意を知らないからで、元無い人間無い世界をこしらえた親神の目から見ると非常に遺憾な事である。元の親神が現れた以上は、今後は親神の真意を悟らせ人間心から勝手な振舞いをさせぬようにする。

Commentary by Yoshitaro Ueda (2008)

From Michi no Dai: Foundation of the Path 33:57

III:121

Those in positions of power and authority are doing whatever they want with the entire world. The verse describes God’s impatience with the situation. God deplores and regrets it. The verse asks: Aren’t you aware of God’s regret?

III:122

Until now, everything in world has been as intended by those in positions of power and authority; from now on, however, the situation will be different. In the phrase “monku kawaru,” which is the last quarter of the verse in the original, “monku” literally means “wording” or “words.” Yet changes (kawaru) that will happen to “monku” in the present context refer to changes in the situation and in the way things are. The verse says that from now on things will be very different.
