Commentary

Commentary by Yoshitaro Ueda (2008)

From Michi no Dai: Foundation of the Path 33:56

God is invisible to our eyes. The Scripture says in several places that God is invisible. The verse here says to listen to the “words and works of God, who is invisible”—which is to say, to listen to God’s intention conveyed through Oyasama’s mouth. God is invisible, yet in the context of the Ofudesaki Oyasama is there among the followers and explains the divine intention through both the spoken and written word. The followers are urged to listen carefully to it and ponder deeply over it.
