3:99 Although I say that I will provide salvation, it is in accordance with the mind of each person who asks for it. If your mind sincerely complies with My intention, you will be able to live until the fixed term of life without becoming ill, dying, or weakening. |

From Michi no Dai: Foundation of the Path 33:52
Verse 99, which provides concrete information on the nature of “marvelous salvation,” says that “this salvation [will be] given in accordance with the mind of sincerity,” which is to say that whether or not we can partake of “marvelous salvation” depends only on our mind of true sincerity. This salvation, we are told, will be characterized by freedom “from illness, death, and weakening.” A while ago, we had a verse that refers to the cause or origin of illness. Now verse 99 says that we can be free not only from illness but also from death—which actually means that we will not die prematurely. In addition, we can be free from weakening. We will not weaken or deteriorate with age.
