III:36
No matter how difficult things may be at present and no matter how contrary to our wishes things may seem, we are assured that we will eventually arrive at a broad and reliable path—a wide path traveled by many people in both directions. We are told to take courage, instead of complaining or moaning.
III:37
The verse tells us not to lament over our present journey, however difficult it may be, and assures us that “the main path”—a safe and dependable path that we can follow with peace of mind—will come into view in due course. We are encouraged to look forward to it. The verse is saying that, even if things are difficult at present, we will undoubtedly arrive at the “main path” so long as our journey is in accordance with the truth.
