Commentary
Commentary by Yoshitaro Ueda (2008)
From Michi no Dai: Foundation of the Path 33:33–4
The phrase “test of certainty in this world” refers to substantiating something. Having read in the previous verse that God will provide all of God’s teachings on everything, we should not assume that these teachings are merely to be conveyed, for they are to be substantiated in this world. That is, these teachings given by God can actually be tested and proven in this world. We can thus be assured that there is no error in these teachings, which are no empty words.
