From Michi no Dai: Foundation of the Path 33:33
The word “quickly” is a translation of the Japanese word “sumiyaka,” which again probably has the meanings “clear” or “complete.” Thus, the meaning of the verse is that, if we purify our mind completely and listen to God with perfect clarity of mind, all the teachings will be conveyed to us. This means that we cannot awaken to or understand God’s intention if we listen with a half-hearted interest or with a mind that is muddy or clouded with dust. It is indeed important to listen with a purified mind.
