3:3 If the cleaning has been sincerely and nicely done, afterwards you will devote yourself singly to the path and your mind will naturally become spirited of itself.

『おふでさき註釈』、p. 31

三、真実に掃除が奇麗に出来たならば、その後は道一筋になって心が自然と勇んで来る。

Commentary by Yoshitaro Ueda (2008)

From Michi no Dai: Foundation of the Path 33:29

With a complete removal of the above-mentioned “structure”—which is said not to have been in accordance with the divine intention—preparations for starting the construction that is being urged by Oyasama are complete. This is what is meant by the phrase “After you have truly finished the sweeping.” The phrase “single-hearted with God” indicates a resolve to be in accordance with God’s intention alone. When the mind is in full accord with God’s intention alone, it spontaneously becomes spirited.

The “sweeping” mentioned in verses 2 and 3 does not merely refer to physical cleaning. Rather, removing the unwanted structure seems also to be intended to help sweep the hearts of people concerned.
