2:46 I shall make a distinction by virtue of the Kanrodai among the people in high positions who rule over others between those with purified minds those who have understood My true intention and those who are still unaware of My teachings and being misled by their own knowledge and power. |

This verse indicates that Nihon and Kara are also found in the high mountains, that is, among people in positions of authority and power. If we wonder whether there are those who understand God’s intention in the high mountains, I think that it would be appropriate to interpret Nihon in a slightly broader sense to include “those who are in accord with God’s intention.” The verse — which thus refers to the arrangements for distinguishing between those who are in accord with God’s intention and those who are not — says that the distinction will “be made by the pillar.” The "pillar" refers to the Kanrodai. In the Ofudesaki, the Kanrodai is referred to as the “pillar” in some places and as the “Stand” in others. The word “pillar” connotes “a marker” whereas “Stand” connotes something that receives something. The Kanrodai as the marker of Jiba serves primarily as the core of the Service. Thus, I believe that the aforementioned distinction is to be made through the Service, which is performed with the Kanrodai at center.
