Ofudesaki chushaku

2:29 I shall enter places that will prove to be difficult to lay the path and make them clean by washing away the dust from the minds of people, no matter how stained their minds may be.

『おふでさき註釈』、p. 24

二九、これからは容易に道のつけ難い所へも入り込んで、如何に心の汚れた者でもほこりを洗い去って清浄ならしめる。

Commentary by Yoshitaro Ueda (2008)

From Michi no dai: Foundation of the Path 32:52

God will personally go into the “high mountains” — referring to “people in positions of authority and power” — to completely remove mud, which perhaps refers to bigger particles than dust.
