Content

Until today, though the grand shrines and high mountains kyō made wa taisha takayama habikarite けふまでハ たいしや高山 はびかりて
have thrived and done as they pleased, mama ni shieita koto de are domo まゝにしていた 事であれとも
From now on, I, the Parent, shall do as I please instead. kore kara wa Oya ga kawarite mama ni suru これからわ をやがかハりて まゝにする
Defy Me and I shall give a return at once. kore somuitara sugu ni kayasu de これそむいたら すぐにかやすで

Although until today the grand shrines and the people on the high mountains have been rampant and managed everything as they please,

Henceforth I, the Parent, will manage everything as I intend. If you go against Me, I will give you a return at once.

Until now, people in grand shrines and high places have exercised free reign, controlling you as they pleased.

Hereafter, I, your Parent, shall govern you in their stead. If you disobey Me, I shall give My retribution at once!

14:30, 31 *Note: Until now, people such as Shinto priests and Buddhist monks have exclusively ruled the ideology and faith of the people with their human thinking. From now on, Oyagami will tell us the true teachings. Thus these verses say that if there is anyone who turns their back on them, this will immediately appear as a return on the body or in particular circumstances.

三〇、三一、註 今までは、専ら神職僧侶などの人々が、人間思案で人々の思想信仰を支配して来たが、これからは、親神様が真実の教を説いて聞かせるから、これに背くような者があれば、直ぐと身上事情に現してかやしをする程に、と仰せられたのである。
