Make the base of this Stand three shaku across and six-sided kono dai o sukoshi horikomi sashi watashi このだいを すこしほりこ みさしハたし
with a mortise at its center. sanjaku ni shite rokkaku ni seyo 三尺にして 六かくにせよ

9:47 *Note: Verses 47 to 64 are about the Kanrodai (Stand of Sweet Dew). Its shape is to be six-sided, and its bottom section three shaku (90.91 cm or 2.983 ft.) in diameter and eight sun (24.24 cm or 9.544 in.) in height. Its second section is also to be six-sided, eight sun in height, and two shaku, four sun (72.73 cm or 2.2857 ft.) in diameter. The next 10 sections beginning with the third section from the bottom are to be six-sided, one shaku and two sun (36.36 cm or 1.193 ft.) in diameter, and six sun (18.18 cm or 7.158 in.) in height. The Kanrodai is to be made of stone.

The uppermost section is to be six-sided, two shaku, four sun (72.73 cm or 2.2857 ft.) in diameter, and six sun in height. At the center of each section there is to be a hole five bu (1.515 cm or 0.5965 in.) deep and a ほぞ three sun (9.091 cm or 3.579 in.) in diameter and five bu in length that connects it with the adjacent section.

A flat vessel with a volume of five sho (9.02 liters or 2.38 gallons) is to be placed on top of the stand.

This Kanrodai is to be constructed at Jiba, the original Home of the Parent as proof of the place where human beings were first conceived.

四七、註 本歌から六四に至るお歌はかんろだいに就いて述べられたものである。その形は、最下の台は三尺にして六角、高さ八寸、二段目は径二尺四寸にして同じく六角、高さは八寸、三段目は径一尺二寸、六角、高さ六寸の石を十段積み上げる。

そして、その上には径二尺四寸、六角、高さ六寸のものを重ねるのであるが、格段の中心には深さ五分の穴を穿ち、径三寸丸、長さ五分の『ほぞ』を上からはめ込むのである。

この台の最上に五升入りの平鉢をのせられる。

このかんろだいは、人間を最初に宿し込んだ証拠として、元の親里なるぢばに建設せられるのである。
