5:46 Until now, although I revealed Myself into the open and enacted marvelous salvation, people from the world at large still thought this to be magical rites or sorcery and are unaware that people are saved due their mind’s sincerity.

『おふでさき註釈』、p. 79

四六、これまでも、親神が自ら表へ現れて珍しいたすけをしていたが、世間の人々は未だに法か術かのように思うて、真実の心の理によって救かる、という事を知らない。

Commentary by Yoshitaro Ueda (2009)

From Michi no dai: Foundation of the Path 35:55

Although God the Parent is openly revealed in this world, there has so far been “no one who knows the truth.” From now on, God will teach the truth of any and every matter. God will then show free and unlimited workings. We humans can only understand the meaning of God’s workings if God teaches the truth of all things or the truth of heaven. When God shows the divine workings without explaining them, we will not understand their meaning. If God explains them, however, we will be able to understand what they mean and represent. We will also be able to use our minds and lead our lives in accordance with the truth of heaven; this, in turn, will allow us to receive God’s free and unlimited blessings.
