1:45 As I look at the state of the world in both the past and present, there truly have been countless courses of life.

『おふでさき註釈』、p. 12

四五、昔も今も世の中の有様をながめて見ると、人生の行路は実に千種万様である。

Commentary by Yoshitaro Ueda (2008)

From Michi no dai: Foundation of the Path 32:42

1:45 We sometimes refer to Tenrikyo as “the path.” Here, the metaphor of a path appears for the first time in the Ofudesaki.

“Looking all over the world and through all ages,” God sees various “paths of life.” Indeed, life offers a great variety of paths.
