Ofudesaki 07:005–6 is a set of verses from the Ofudesaki. The English translation below is the sixth edition translation.


Though Tsukihi desires to make this truth kami taru e kono shinjitsu o hayabaya to 上たるゑ このしんぢつを はや/\と
quickly known to the high places, shirashite yaro to Tsukihi omoedo しらしてやろと 月日をもゑど
Unaware of this, those in the high places kami taru wa sore o shirazu ni mēmē no 上たるハ それをしらすに めへ/\の
are thinking only about their selfish concerns. waga mi shiyan o bakari omōte わがみしやんを ばかりをもをて

Third Edition

Although I, Tsukihi, am hastening to let the upper people know this truth,

Unaware of this, the upper people are thinking with only selfish mind.


I, Tsuki-Hi, intend to teach this truth to the authorities as promptly as possible.

Unaware of this, the authorities are caught entirely in their selfish thoughts.
