Commentary
Commentary by Yoshitaro Ueda (2008)
From Michi no dai: Foundation of the Path 34:54–5
Thus, Oyasama urges people to hurry each day. What is it that they should hasten to do? They should be quick to practice and master the Service so that it can be performed properly.
We should note that the phrase “spirited minds” indicates a proactive and positive attitude. Oyasama wants people to practice the Service with a sense of delight, joy, and gratitude, rather than in a resigned way as if to say they have no other choice.
