180. A Reluctant Offering of Rice Cakes Once a family quarreled about the rice cake offering. "Let's give six pounds." "No, let's give nine pounds." "It is too much but let's make the offering anyway." When the offering was made, Oyasama tried to eat one of the cakes with chopsticks. But the chopsticks flew up violently. She could not eat it no matter how many times She tried.

一八〇 惜しみの餅 ある人が、お餅を供える時、「二升にして置け。」「いや三升にしよう。」と、家の中で言い争いをしてから、「惜しいけど、上げよう。」と、言って、餅を供えたところ、教祖が、箸を持って、召し上がろうとなさると、箸は、激しく跳び上がって、どうしても、召し上がる事が出来なかった、という。 |
