Kanzeon at Mount Otowa

Kanzeon at Mount Otowa (音羽山 観世音), as mentioned in Anecdotes of Oyasama 95, refers to Otowa Kannon-ji (音羽山 観音寺), a temple in present-day Sakurai City, Nara Prefecture.
According to its website, Otowa Kannon-ji is a prayer temple founded in circa 806 CE where Kanzeon, the thousand-armed, thousand-eyed, and eleven-headed sculpture of Kannon, is said to provide miraculous benefits for eye ailments.
